Lost Confidence in Your Ability?
Blocks and Self Confidence
Sometimes you can hit a problem and it seems that no matter how hard you try it either stays there or gets worse?
A technique or a movement which is just not gelling which means that the whole structure crumbles.
You try various other ways around it, looking at it from different angles, new positions or talk to other people about the same problem but nothing seems to help.
When this happens, you can feel lost, as though your entire competitive future is disappearing in front of your eyes and your dreams are disappearing too.
It can also feed into your personal life as well and really affect your personal relationships, your personal confidence and it seems like others who don’t compete just have no idea why this is so important to you.
It can also sometimes feel like panic, especially if you have a competition coming up.
This is a really common problem that most people who compete in any sport experience at some point in their career.
It can revolve around one part of your training or part of your performance - one small piece that holds it all together. Does this sound familiar or feel like something you have right now?
From personal experience as well as dealing with many clients who believe they have "lost it" at some point, I understand this is highly distressing.
The point is that you have the ability, you know its there and the self belief seems to have gone as well??
There are simple techniques that I use once we establish the problem, how it is affecting your confidence and then a series of strategies (secret stuff!) designed from my own experience and then successfully used in coaching clients.
We work on the blocks you have
Establish how you react and the chain of reactions you will have had when you first encountered the problem.
Break the chain and then using a highly effective technique - re install the correct movement or action but get you to do it so you don’t think about it!
Once you have done that then the work on the confidence and any resistance or fear of which has built up. Remove any self belief issues and then using NLP strategies, increase confidence and motivation back into your game.
You are not on your own and you can regain and surpass your previous performance.
This is only the beginning.
